I agree, this is a great story. My grandma had Alzheimers, and it is a very heartbreaking disease to say the least, and having someone whom you love not recognize you is one of the worst feelings out there.
I agree with the story, that there is a dilemma about when people would want to know. Especially when it’s a disease without a cure, perhaps people wouldn’t want to know that their mind is degenerating. Some people say that once you find out about a disease, it progresses faster because your mind is aware of the problems.
Great story, well done, and a very touching (especially to me) topic. Rest in peace, Grandma.
