I’m not sure what’s more disturbing…
The fact that Fox News thought this was newsworthy, or that people actually watch this programming (or else Fox wouldn’t run it).
Granted, it is a piece on entertainment. I’m a sports guy, I’m not going to try to pretend I enjoy entertainment. I really don’t. I don’t care how long Kim Kardashian’s marriage lasted, and I don’t care if a movie star got drunk on the weekend and did embarrassing things at a bar.
So, you could say going into watching this story I had a bias… or maybe two.
The first story was about who is ‘Justin Bieber’s Baby Mama’ where Fox looks at the lady who claims Justin Bieber had sex with her after one of his shows. Fox makes her seem as crazy as they can, by pointing out that her highest level of education is Grade 11, she was living off of food stamps when the incident occurred, and showing pictures of her that are less than flattering. Fox may be skeptical, but there are much better ways to be skeptical.
The second story, (I’ve forgotten it in the last 10 minutes, that’s how greatly I was impacted) was about Carrie Fisher’s book. Yawn.
And the third story, riveting news about Kim Kardashian’s marriage and how the pre-nupital agreement was already a source of tension for the couple. Who cares?!
Here’s the link, but trust me, it’s two minutes of your life that you’ll never get back— but wish strongly that you could.
