Well, since everyone else is re-blogging this post, I thought I’d share my thoughts as well.
Along with Brent, I acknowledge that I am not as serious about gender inequality as many females are. That doesn’t mean it’s not important, because I believe everyone should be equal, but I find it a bit overdone.
This is a bunch of isolated examples, not that it doesn’t happen all the time, but I’m guessing a similar video could be made of men putting down other men or women putting down men. Yes, the basis of the criticism will be different, (I doubt men banter with each other about face lifts or cleavage), but men and women are different.
In summary, I’m not trying to belittle the issue, nor am I saying it’s right for women to be treated in a sexist way, but I also think maybe sometimes it goes a little over the top.
And so, my faith in humankind and equality has been smashed. As a woman, I feel the need to understand gender inequality. I have never felt the wrath of it yet, but remember I am still a student. I consider myself well liked, but sometimes because of my confidence have been labelled a…
